Child Development
The Scholars for Excellence in Child Care (Scholars) program is a partnership with the Department of Human Services. It allows each of our community colleges, as well as OSU-OKC, to have a scholar coordinator on campus who recruits eligible child care providers from licensed facilities. The child care providers benefit by having an opportunity to advance their education in the field of early childhood. Child care professionals can take courses leading to a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, a Certificate of Mastery, an 18-credit hour certificate consisting of 15 hours of early childhood education/child development and English Comp, or an associate of science/arts degree in early childhood education or child development. A Director’s Certificate of Mastery (a 24-hour certificate) is available through OSU-OKC. For more information, visit the Scholars Program Web site at http://www.okhighered.org/scholars/.

Oklahoma Partnership for Industry and Education (OPIE)
The Oklahoma Partnership of Industry and Education (OPIE) is an organization of business, industry, state and community leaders, and educational providers cooperatively working toward the common goal to improve the knowledge and performance level of our current and future workforce. OPIE Scholarships are for students who are majoring in an area of study pertaining to technology and who are interested in obtaining either certification and/or a two- or four-year college degree. For more information and to apply, download the scholarship packet (PDF, 194K).
