Application Fee

There is a nonrefundable $50 application and processing fee. Your application will be processed when payment is received.

Eligibility

To qualify for admission, applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree. Students must be proficient in the English language. International students whose primary language is not English must submit satisfactory scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language exam (TOEFL). The preferred TOEFL score is 600 paper-based, 250 computer-based, or 100 internet-based.

Personal Statement

Describe your career/academic experience to date, your future goals and how obtaining an M.L.S. degree or LL.M. degree will help you achieve those goals. Limit your statement to 500 words or less. A personal statement may be uploaded during the application process, or you may email your personal statement as an attachment to the OU College of Law Graduate & International Programs at mls@law.ou.edu (for M.L.S. students) or llm@law.ou.edu (for LL.M. students).

Resume/Curriculum Vitae

A resume may be uploaded during the application process, or you may email your resume as an attachment to the OU College of Law Graduate & International Programs at mls@law.ou.edu (for M.L.S. students) or llm@law.ou.edu (for LL.M. students).

Official Transcripts

Please email a certified copy of all undergraduate and graduate college transcripts to the OU College of Law Graduate & International Programs at mls@law.ou.edu (for M.L.S. students) or llm@law.ou.edu (for LL.M. students).

If official electronic transcripts are not an option, we can temporarily accept unofficial transcripts due to administrative office closures in response to COVID-19. However, if you are admitted, there will be a hold placed which will prevent future enrollment. We require you to submit an official transcript(s) before the end of your first semester (second module). Hard copies of transcripts mailed to the University may delay your application approval process.

Admissions Decision

The OU College of Law offers rolling admissions for the M.L.S. and LL.M. programs. The Admissions Committee meets regularly and should render a decision within 2-4 weeks upon submission of an application and all required supporting materials.
