Real-Life Math

Strong math skills are not a must if you want to go into language assessment. "Math is not really part of the profile of a language assessor," says Adriana Parau. She is a language assessor. But language assessors do use some math in budgeting and forecasting. They must also be comfortable with statistics, their interpretation and their graphic representation.

You are a language assessor. As part of your job, you have to prepare a monthly report on how many language assessments you conducted.

Here are the numbers for the language assessments you did this month. But your boss does not like reading numbers, so he wants to see them in a graph.

Level 1
Male -- 11
Female -- 15

Level 2

Female -- 14

Level 3

Draw a single graph that compares and contrasts the data in the table.
