Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You go ahead and start removing shingles.

You've removed almost all the shingles when it starts raining. With little warning, the rain pours down.

You rush to your truck. Fortunately, you always have two large tarps with you. However, by the time you get the roof covered, quite a bit of water leaks into their attic.

You end up having to pay some damages, but not nearly as much as if you hadn't had the tarps. You were lucky this time. Next time, you won't take a chance.

"I have heard of companies going bottoms-up over that," says roofer Garry O'Farrell. "You get a good downpour and it wrecks the whole inside of the house. You're liable for all the damages."
