Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You write a memo containing your findings, send it to the project leaders and urge them to include it in their report.

Clients can often be disappointed by the results of scientific tests. People want to believe they've discovered something others overlooked. They want to believe it so much, they are even willing to ignore science sometimes.

But the leaders of this project include your findings in a well-balanced report. In the end, the readers of the paper were left to decide what was true. All the evidence was laid out for them. That's how it should be.
