Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You decide to write the article.

Forget about the other scientists. You know what you're doing and want the glory all to yourself. After the article comes out, a fellow astronomer asks you about your calculations. He can't seem to make them add up. You try them again and see that they don't work.

"If this is such an important discovery, why didn't you ask other astronomers to double-check it?" he asks. You shrug your shoulders. He tosses the article on the desk.

"Well, it doesn't mean much now, does it?" he says.
