Real-Life Communication -- Solution

Here is an example message, taken from the annual report of a school district:

Message from the Superintendent

The Northern Lights School Division No. 69 intends to be accountable to our stakeholders. Through this report, we provide the basis for identifying areas of success and areas requiring attention or needing improvement.

The results are the work of everyone involved in the education process. This includes parents, staff, the community, the board and most importantly the students. Only when each of these is fulfilling its role do we achieve our goals.

The board promotes staff, community and parent involvement in providing an effective learning organization. We foster a climate that is visionary and encourages research-based change and risk-taking by staff in developing methods of delivery of instruction.

This report is one of several measures we use to determine how we are doing. It gives us a broader perspective in answering "did we do what we said we would do?" and "did we achieve what we expected as a result?"

We encourage your feedback, and appreciate the exceptional dedication and efforts of all our staff members in achieving the results contained in this report.
