Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You decide to stick with your dad's estimate.

This is the real-life decision of Wesley Czerwinski, a pool and spa specialist.

"The new filter grinds were going to cost us $150 and my dad bid at $180," he recalls. "Two hours later the filter was fixed and we made a whopping $30."

Czerwinski says he doesn't remember a time when his father overbid for a job. And he says, in this case, it may have been wise to bid low to keep this influential customer happy. "They're the ones you have to please if you're going to stay in business."
