Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You look after your partner.

This option would give you a chance to offer help, if necessary. And it would show that you care about your colleague.

But you may not be able to offer help. And there are people in the circus whose job is to deal with such incidents.

"There are people in the background that rush in and who immediately carry [your partner] out," says Rawls. More importantly, you cannot let the audience down. They have come for a good time and your role as a performer is to make sure that they get it.

So if you distract the audience, they may quickly forget about the incident, allowing the show to go on. It would also be a bridge into the next act.
