Real-Life Decision Making

You are taking a group of 40 tourists on a day trip around the region. You are about 20 miles out of the nearest city when one of your group calls you over. The woman tells you that she is ill and demands to be taken to a hospital immediately. You consider your options.

Two solutions spring to mind.

You could instruct the driver to turn the bus around and go to the nearest hospital. This will inconvenience the other 30 group members, but you think the woman's health comes first.

You could sit with the woman and ask her questions about her health. You could ask her if this has ever happened before, if she is on any medications and if she knows what the problem is. This will get you more information on which to assess your situation. Still, you are not a doctor and this won't really qualify you to make a decision regarding her health.

What do you do?
