Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You study music therapy.

To your surprise, the faculty is excited by your banjo playing and your enthusiasm for this career. You find the curriculum exciting. It seems to offer you everything you are interested in, and it is all centered on your main passion: music.

Therapist Julie Tatro says the music therapy curriculum includes "liberal arts classes [English, math, history], core music classes such as music theory and music history, and instrument and voice study."

You take the courses, and find the time to practice and improve your banjo playing skills. With music as part of the program, practicing is studying. You are also learning more about music by taking music theory, music history and various studies in instruments and voice.

You do volunteer work at the local hospital during your vacation time. Working at the hospital confirms that you have chosen the career most suited to your passions. You continue on with your schooling, learning more and more about the magic of music.
