Dude Ranch Operator

Real-Life Activities

Real-Life Communication

For the last nine years, you've been running the same advertisement for your ranch:

Come to Love Dude Ranch. Three days, two nights, six meals, one family per cabin, canoeing lessons ($9.99 per), baseball and soccer, nightly entertainment $19.99 per show, songs by the campfire, fishing and waterskiing ($5.00 charge). All this and more for just $349.99 per four-person family and $99.99 per additional family member over the age of six. Special activities for the month of May: professional massage therapy ($25 per 30 minutes) and horseback rides ($10.00 per turn). Call T-Bone at (555) 555-5555 to make reservations.

On account of the low revenues in the past few years, you've decided to change your ad. Perhaps you'd better focus more on the entertainment and relaxation of your ranch rather than the prices. People will probably pay, but first they need to be reassured that they are going to have a super time.

"Our business and lifestyle is hospitality," say George and Pixie Carrier, Colorado dude ranchers. "We have staff and guests that live in close proximity to each other and need to have a good time. Guests especially have high expectations of our services and expect a lot for their money."

Your job is to rewrite the above advertisement with more focus on the fun and less focus on the price of a good ranching holiday. Feel free to chop parts of the ad that you find unnecessary or potentially detrimental to business (such as having potential customers phone a guy called "T-Bone"). Good luck. Your business may be depending on it.
