OK, she seemed confident behind the wheel, but does that make someone a safe driver? Kim's actions on Highway 61 may or may not have resulted in an accident. Your job is not only to grade your students, but more importantly to make a decision as to whether or not they deserve a driver's license.

You should have failed Kim. It might have taught her that driving, while many things, is never a game to be giggled at.

Driving instructors like John Wright always make safety their prime concern on the job. "This is not only about driving, it's about surviving," he says. "Safety is job one for me and should be for any driving instructor."
