An important part of an on-site property manager's job is keeping track of expenses. Property managers need to bill tenants regularly for expenses related to the property's operation.

Kristy Ludwar is an on-site property administrator at a large office building. "We keep our invoicing separate for our accounting purposes. Everything is charged separately," she says.

You are working with Ludwar and it's time to invoice tenants for expenses. You must prepare the charges for light bulbs for the tenants on the 11th floor of the building. You look through your records and see that your department replaced 21 halogen lights, 13 fluorescent tubes and 16 standard incandescent lights.

You buy packages of 12 halogen light bulbs for $49.95 (plus tax). Fluorescent tubes cost $2.95 each (plus tax). Standard incandescent light bulbs come in packs of three for $6.75 (plus tax).

You must prepare an invoice for the light bulbs. Include the quantity and type of light bulbs used, the price per unit and the total cost. Provide a subtotal for the cost of all the light bulbs. Then add five percent sales tax, and provide a grand total.
