A customer named Todd has been in your bar for a couple hours. He's had several drinks. He's been having a good time joking around, dancing and talking with friends.

You notice Todd's getting louder and a bit rowdy. Also, he seems to be approaching every new woman who comes into the bar. You decide he has had enough to drink.

He's been a good customer most of the night. You don't want to make him angry. He could start a fight, or just not return to your bar another night.

You need to explain why he can't be served anymore. Besides the fact he's starting to bother people, by law you're not supposed to serve someone who's drunk.

You might want to explain that it's nothing personal, that you've appreciated his business and you'd love him to come back another night. Also, you can offer to get him some water and have the doorman call him a cab.

Write down what you'll say to the drunken patron. Make sure it's friendly but very clear.
