Real-Life Math -- Solution

The measurements are as follows:

Wrist: 8 cm
Next: 10 cm
Next: 14 cm
Next: 16 cm
Next: 18 cm
Next: 20 cm
Next: 24 cm

Now you need to calculate the volume by squaring each of those measurements and adding them together. Then you divide by pi, which is 3.14.

V = (64 + 100 + 196 + 256 + 324 + 400 + 576) / pi
V = 1,916 / 3.14
V = 610 cubic cm

"You have to understand a little bit about mathematics. You must know volumetric measures and how to calculate volumes," says Ian Soles. He is an MLD therapist. "There is a formula to be used."
