Earlier this morning, your fund-raising subcommittee gave you cash, a number of checks and a list of receipts. You've been working with them to make this current project, your annual fund-raising dinner, a success.

It is a fun event -- a dinner and fashion show where the male models are members of the local hockey team. It is a popular community activity supported by all. Large companies buy a whole table for $350. Individuals pay $50 a person and couples pay $100.

You pull out the bank deposit book and start counting the money -- 20 fives, 15 tens and 50 twenties. You mark this down on the deposit form. Then you start listing the checks in the space provided. You see that 10 checks are for couples, 6 are for individuals and the rest are businesses buying tables.

You lay down your pen and count the number of checks: 25. Then you count how many you've recorded on the deposit slip: 25.

Finally, you get out your calculator and add up the totals. What number do you put in the deposit total space?
