Real-Life Communication -- Solution

Here's what your memo could look like:

The new material is by far superior to the old material in the areas of quality control, cost and longevity. I have come to this conclusion in view of the following reasons:

  • Based on the probability of defects occurring during production, the new material showed fewer defects than the old material.
  • By running a material cost check, we found that this new product is more cost-effective than the original.
  • We tested the material under various temperature conditions for over 500 hours. We found that the new material tested better than the old.

I recommend at this time that we continue with the new material.
