Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution
You continue to work at the private clinic and take the promotion.
Your wage is raised, your benefits coverage increases, and you are congratulated
by your co-workers.
They are all very excited that they will be working under you because you
are well liked and they think you will create a comfortable, problem-free
working environment. The doctor is pleased with you as well. You are given
funds to buy the latest in transcription software and equipment for your office.
But your workload has doubled, and your time commitment has increased to
close to 60 hours a week, which means less time spent with your children.
They are very upset about your promotion. Your spouse is happy for you, but
disappointed about seeing you less.
Eventually, you settle into a routine, and you enjoy the extra income.
But it definitely takes an adjustment.
Everyone must set their own priorities and adapt to whatever
work situation they choose.
