Real-Life Communication

You have designed what you feel is the best surfboard available for the best price. You are proud of what you have designed and produced. The excitement and thrill of surfing inspired it.

"When you enter the work world, you will find millions just like you. You must find what makes you different," says surfboard designer Scott Flint. "Why are you a better salesperson? What makes your product better? Find your niche!"

Flint likes to use Stephen Covey's book, the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, as a guide for working on sales and communication skills.

"One chapter focuses on what Covey called 'win-win.' This simply means that you will lose in the long run if you are getting the best of others. Your focus in business is to create a satisfied customer who will then become a repeat customer."

You are a self-employed surfboard designer. Using the win-win approach, write a business slogan that lets your customer know all about you, what you believe in and what you can offer them. Try to keep it under 100 words. Make sure you feel the customer knows all about you and your mission.
