English Language Teacher Overseas

Real-Life Activities

Real-Life Decision Making

You had planned to work in Prague, Czech Republic, as an English teacher for two years. That was long enough to save some money, perfect your German language skills (which are already pretty good) and establish your independence.

But it's six months into your stay and it seems as if nothing is going your way.

First, your apartment is a disaster and you haven't had any luck finding a new place.

Second, your work has pushed you to the brink. Only half the students seem interested in learning English. The other half seem determined to spoil your day.

Finally, things aren't so good back at home. Your father has taken a spill and is in the hospital.

In short -- you want to go home.

What do you do?
