Real-Life Communication -- Solution

Try saying something like this:

Dear Mr. Kiro,

I'm writing to tell you I think you might benefit more from English classes if you were to start with something a little easier. I realize you've become successful by being thorough in everything you do, so I know you will understand when I say a different class will help you to excel at learning English.

I feel you would have a much more complete understanding of English if we started with the basics. This will allow you to not only learn English, but to learn it well.

"Telling a student that he or she should go down a level while still preserving their dignity and self-confidence is a very difficult task," says John Trollope.
