Real-Life Communication

You're a data recovery specialist looking to expand your business. You've done some work for a company that is an Internet provider. They've agreed to help you design a web page to advertise your services.

Their software expertise will help ensure the page looks good. Your job is to write a business profile so clients will know how your service differs from your competitors.

Write a 250-word profile of your business, Data Recovery Technologies. You'll want to outline in point form the type of services you provide. Here are other points you'll also want to let your customers know about:

  • Data takes one to five days to recover
  • Your initial evaluation of the problem is free
  • Evaluations are completed in two hours to one-and-a-half days
  • You provide estimates
  • Any recovery work is subject to client acceptance of your estimate
  • The average recovery costs between $400 and $1,500

Finally, you want your clients to know you guarantee your work. If you can't retrieve data after giving your estimate, then your client doesn't have to pay you, and you'll give $500 to any firm that can retrieve the information.
