Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You ignore it and mention it to the florist later.

The wedding consultant could have done this because she didn't cause the problem and she certainly had plenty of other things to worry about. But her job is to make the wedding turn out well, for the bride and groom's satisfaction as well as her own.

The bride and groom had spent a lot of money to make their day special and this small foul-up might mar the overall look of the church. A good wedding consultant could not ignore a detail such as this.

"I made the decision to remove the ribbon and place on the first two aisle chairs small flower arrangements that I keep in my emergency kit," says Schell.

"They looked a lot better, and who knows what would have happened had the bride started up the aisle to see the mess that the florist had left. Fortunately, she really didn't notice the changes and it did not affect her day."
