"The florist was still in the banquet hall and I approached him and asked him if he was finished decorating the ceremony room. 'Yes,' he said, 'that's what she gets for free.' Well, there was really no arguing or speaking with this fellow," says Schell.

But how would she fix it? As a good wedding consultant, she had planned ahead for an assortment of emergencies.

"I made the decision to remove the ribbon and place on the first two aisle chairs small flower arrangements that I keep in my emergency kit. They looked a lot better, and who knows what would have happened had the bride started up the aisle to see the mess that the florist had left. Fortunately, she really didn't notice the changes and it did not affect her day."
