Real-Life Communication

You've recently opened your own rolfing practice, so you're eager for clients. The phone rings.

"Hello, Top Form Rolfing," you say.

"Hi. How much do you guys charge?"

"$125 a session, which lasts..."

"Oh, OK, thanks. Bye."

After the man hangs up, you realize you've made a mistake. You didn't get a chance to sell yourself. You also didn't get a chance to explain what you do.

The next time someone calls to ask for a price, you're going to be ready. Write down what you'll say in response. Make sure you mention the following:

  • Every new client gets a half-hour free consultation, in which you assess their needs and explain what you do.
  • You have a health intake form, which helps you learn what they need and what problems may arise.
  • Your sessions last one hour and 15 minutes.
  • Your entire program is 10 sessions long.
  • You charge $125 a session.
