Handling returns is a part of almost every retail salesperson's job.

You are a salesperson in a department store. It's Boxing Day, probably the busiest day of the year for you. Your store has a policy that it doesn't accept returns until after Boxing Day.

A man comes to your cash station wanting to return a blanket. You tell him he'll have to bring it back tomorrow because the store isn't taking any returns today.

He starts to argue with you. He's angry because he came all the way down to the store and doesn't want to have to come back tomorrow. "It wouldn't kill you to take back one small return!" he says.

You don't want to aggravate the situation, but you're not allowed to bend the rules. What do you say to him?
