Real-Life Decision Making

You're a make-up artist with 23 years of experience. Recently, you've concentrated on getting good film credits for yourself. But in the last couple of months, as usually happens with freelancing, you haven't had any work.

The phone rings and you get a job offer to work on a television series for five or six months. Good, that'll bring in some money, you think to yourself. But wait, doing TV won't look too good on your resume.

You've really worked hard to gain all those excellent film credits, and a six-month TV series would look a little odd among them on your resume. A reputation is everything in this industry. What if people think there's something wrong with your film work? Still, who cares what people think if you can't afford to eat?

If you decide to turn this offer down, there's no telling when you might get another offer. But if you take it, it might throw your film career off track.

What are you going to do?
