Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You decide to turn down the offer.

This is the real-life decision made by make-up artist Gail Kennedy. "It was more important for my resume to have continuous good film credits than it was to have the work," says Kennedy.

It was a hard decision to make. If no work came along, she would have kicked herself for not taking the TV job. And that has happened in the past.

Establishing a reputation in a particular field is a key part of being a successful make-up artist, Kennedy says. But knowing when to accept or turn down work is one of the hardest things to learn and deal with.

Luckily in Kennedy's case, it wasn't long before a good film contract came along.
