Real-Life Communication

You run InfoArcola, an information brokerage firm. Fraser High School is holding a career week and your company has been asked to participate.

Most of the students have never heard of information brokers before. You need to write two or three paragraphs to explain what your firm does.

"Communication is very important," says information broker Bob Kenyon. "I can't stress this more. Most of my work involves training and writing. The other communication skill is listening. That means everything from listening to educating those who need information you have."

Here are some facts you may want to include:

  • InfoArcola was founded in 2007
  • It gives electronic and print information to businesses for market research, industry research and planning help
  • It finds hard-to-find literature, other special documents
  • It also does web page design
  • It believes people need professionals with know-how to organize and process
  • Finding and using information is becoming more and more involved and specialized
  • People without the proper skills are wasting time and money trying to sort out their information
  • Students are welcome to come in to InfoArcola any time

Using this information, write your explanation.
