You're a hotel manager and you are doing the annual assessment of the hotel's productivity. In order to decide whether or not to increase your marketing budget for the coming year, you have to calculate the hotel's lost room revenue.

Lost room revenue is the amount of money lost because of unoccupied rooms. If this revenue is higher than 6 percent of the total room revenue for the hotel, you will have to budget more money for marketing.

Using the following data, decide whether you will increase your marketing budget.

On average, the hotel charges $95 per room per night in the off-season (210 nights).

During the peak season (155 nights), the cost of a room is $135 per night.

There are 100 rooms in the hotel. During the off-season, only 80 percent of those rooms are filled. During the peak season, all of the hotel's rooms are full.
