You are teaching food preparation to the 15 students in your class. For next week's class, your students will be preparing cinnamon quick bread. As always, students will work in teams of 4 (1 team will have only 3 members) and each team will prepare a loaf of quick bread.

The main ingredients in 1 loaf of quick bread are:

2.75 cups of white flour
3/4 cup of vegetable oil
1/3 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon

However, you intend to make a substitution. It has been decided that 1/2 of the white flour will be exchanged for whole-wheat flour. You must be certain you have sufficient ingredients on hand for all 4 teams. How much of each ingredient will you need?

"Figuring out quantities of ingredients for recipes is always necessary," says consumer sciences teacher Violanda Adams.
