Dealing with apprentices is an important part of working as a tradesperson.

You are a journeyperson sheet metal worker training an apprentice.

In the past he's been pretty good, but lately you've noticed your apprentice's work hasn't been up to snuff. In fact, some of the work was so bad that you had to redo it.

You've just found some shoddy workmanship on a duct he's finished making. The pieces don't quite line up and there are rough edges on it.

You're annoyed. He doesn't seem to realize the effect his carelessness has on you and your business.

Imagine you are speaking to your apprentice. Without getting angry, tell him he'd better shape up.

Write down the conversation in a paragraph or two.
