Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You send the samples to another lab for analysis.

This option takes the decision-making out of your hands and puts it into someone else's. It may be a way of wimping out. You end up not taking responsibility for reporting unpopular results. And reporting unpopular results is part of your job, whether you like it or not.

If you want to re-analyze the results, it is a better idea to do it yourself and then report them. People might not like the results, but they will learn to respect you.
