Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You refuse the project.

You have enough work to occupy yourself at the shop. You must be careful, though, because at the end of the few weeks you may hit a dry spell and not have much work to do.

Maybe the real reason you decided not to take the job is because you're nervous that you aren't capable of doing the work. This is an extremely difficult project -- it might not be a bad idea to pass on the work if you honestly don't think you know how to tackle it.

"If I had less experience I might have said no to this," says upholsterer Manon Harbec. "It's good to know your limits. Only rarely will you have to say no, but you should know when so that you always do quality work."

A good upholsterer should be able to use their imagination to think of a way to fix up a project. After all, being creative is how an upholsterer gets most of their work done.
