Ross Tomlinson says the math in coaching is fairly rudimentary, but you usually need it to get into university. "We're always doing calculations of percentages. We use statistics all the time. The other thing, of course, is that math is a compulsory part of core curriculum. In order to get into some universities, you have to ensure you have a good GPA in all of your core courses."
