Real-Life Math

As a dancer, your body must be in sync with music, because timing is everything.

You are trying to get your music ready for a performance next week. You've already selected the pieces you intend to include, but you need to know the total amount of time the songs will take.

You'll be recording your music later on this afternoon, so you decide to add up all the minutes of your songs. In between each selection, you want to leave a 3-second pause so you'll have time to change props or backgrounds.

The following are your musical selections. Go ahead and make your calculations so you'll know how long the soundrack will be in total.

Songs on the list:Time:
Mozart: Elvira Madigan Concerto10:32
Gluck: Dance of the Blessed Spirits7:54
Mendelssohn: Nocturne7:28
Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 29:18
Puccini: Humming Chorus5:54
Beethoven: Romance7:28
