Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You vote for the shopping mall.

Although green space makes any place a nicer place to live, you've decided to think of the town's economic health first and go with the mall idea. As an economic development officer, not all decisions are easy ones.

And although this time you're voting against the idea of a park, there will be other chances. For now, it's the financial situation first.

"Economic development officers work with a variety of people on each project," says Jacques Dube, an economic development coordinator. "Although we may have different ideas on a lot of things, one thing we all agree on is that the financial well-being of a center is important. It's our job to be sensible."
