Real-Life Communication -- Solution

Here's what you could say:

Transportation
There are direct trains from Paris, Geneva and other major cities. You don't really need a car unless you want to get away to the country.

Rest
Chamonix has a variety of accommodations, including "gites" (alpine dorms), which are great for hikers, skiers and mountaineers. Collective dorms where you make your own meals are also available, going for $5 to $10 per night.

Challenge
Mont-Blanc is a compact mountain range, but the climbs are long and will require brave and physically fit climbers.

Stuff
Gear is widely available and much cheaper than in North America.
