Real-Life Decision Making

What programs to run, how much to charge, who to instruct and what facility to use are just some of the decisions a programmer makes daily.

Some decisions can be pretty tough. Just ask recreation programmer Laurie Buterfield, who was faced with this situation:

A gymnastics program for young children was all set to start one Saturday. The program was full with 12 registrations. On the first day, the instructor was busy getting ready when four parents came in and asked if they could register their children for the program.

The instructor said yes, because he didn't want to see any child miss out. The four children registered, making it 16 in the class. After the first class, six of the parents who had registered on time complained to Buterfield that there were too many kids in the program. They felt their children were not getting quality instruction.

If you were the rec programmer, what would you do?
