Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You meet with the company about your concerns.

This is the real-life decision made by skateboarder Jen O'Brien. She says it's extremely important for skateboarders to protect their images. If they have doubts about how their image will be used, they should tell the sponsor right away.

"You've got to either sever the ties right then or go in and have a roundtable meeting and really sit down and nail it all out," O'Brien says. "One bad ad, something which is just not cool, and it could be over for you.

"Every time someone mentions your name, they'll constantly think of that image, so you have to be really careful with that."
