Real-Life Communication -- Solution

  1. Will the new program be compatible with the systems the company uses now?

The new program will be perfectly compatible with the systems the company uses now, like Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes. It will also use the same function keys used already in Windows Explorer.

  2. Can anyone who has the program downloaded on their computer get information out, as well as put information in?

Anyone using the system will be able to both put information into the program, as well as take it out. The system assumes that information will constantly be moving.

  3. Is there anything I should be wary of or careful about when I use this program?

The only thing you will have to be wary of when using this program is when you move files from place to place. There is no tracking system within the program, so you may lose files or URLs that you may have thought you saved.

Clearly, communication skills are key to knowledge officers. "It's not just about technology, it's about people too," says Wendy Coles, a knowledge manager. "Sometimes people get lost in all the technology and forget that talking and sharing ideas face to face adds an important element."
