As a management information systems specialist for a daily newspaper, it's part of your job to evaluate the computer hardware and software needs of the paper. New technologies are being introduced at an incredible pace and you have to keep up to date on the latest trends and innovations.

A new optical disk has been developed which can record up to 2.6 billion bytes of information. One page of a daily newspaper contains roughly 5,000 bytes of information -- a byte stores 1 character. Your newspaper averages about 100 pages each day, including classifieds and the television listings.

You'd like to determine if these new optical disks will be of benefit to your paper. Given the above information, how many newspapers could be recorded on 1 disk? If you recorded your daily newspaper on the disk each day, how many years could you archive before the disk is full?
