Real-Life Math -- Solution

What will be the Trippers' final bill, with 14 percent tax on top?

1 general physical = $137.81
5 prenatal examinations ($66.39 x 5) = $331.95
1 child delivery = $503.94
2 post-partum visits ($66.39 x 2) = $132.78

Total: $137.81 + $331.95 + $503.94 + $132.78 = $1,106.48

Calculate the tax:
$1,106.48 x 0.14 = $154.91
$1,106.48 + $154.91 = $1,261.39
