Real-Life Communication

You return to your home office after finishing serving breakfast to your guests. You see on your phone that you have a message. Could it be another potential guest for the Frolicking Marmot B and B?

The voice sounds like an elderly man. Here's what the message says: "Hello, my wife, Glenda, and I are coming into town next month for the annual Marmot Festival. As you might know, it's from May 3rd to 6th and we're wondering if you have any space. We don't travel very often so this is a big deal for us. We've heard good things about your B and B. You can call me back at 252-255-1234. My name is Frank Smith."

Before you call back Mr. Smith, give some thought to what information you need from him. What do you need to know to make sure he and his wife enjoy their stay at your B and B?
