Real-Life Decision Making

You're an aromatherapist with a long client list and a reputation for good service. You take good care of your clients and keep up with the latest research on aromatherapy.

While reading through a medical journal article about a certain blend of aromatic elements, you come across a study that showed that one of your favorite blends for relaxation has been shown to cause headaches in some study participants.

About half of the people who took part in a study of the aroma complained of headaches within one hour of being exposed to the odors. This information concerns you.

But you also know that for all the time you have been using the aromatic blend, you've had no complaints. And there's the fact that your clients enjoy the blend -- it's the most popular combination you make.

Now you have to decide what to do. Continue to offer the product to your clients without mentioning the study? Or maybe discontinue use of the product, and explain to your clients why you're doing it?

Or you could inform your clients of the study, telling them where they can get more information if they want it, but say that you'll continue to provide the product if they want it.

What do you do?
