Many of the aromas used by therapists are blends. Some use their own combinations of oils, herbs and other elements to create the perfect mix. But others follow recipes, some of which can be traced back hundreds of years.

You plan to make a new blend for a favorite client of yours. She is a high-energy businesswoman who needs to relax and unwind. She uses your aromatherapy to help relieve the stress of the day.

Unfortunately, the only recipe you can find makes a large quantity of the mixture -- 70 ounces. You only need about 17.5 ounces. Here's the recipe:

17.5 ounces sandalwood oil
8.7 ounces lemon oil
17.5 ounces oil of eucalyptus
3.5 ounces coconut oil
3.5 ounces of carrot seed extract
2 ounces citronella extract

Before starting your blend, you'll sit down with a paper and pencil and work out how to reduce the blend to make just the right amount for your client.
