Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You discontinue use of the product.

When your clients ask for it, you tell them why you are no longer offering it. Some immediately turn to other sources for their favorite aromatherapy products, while others trust your judgment at first but eventually follow. Your business suffers.

You have to remember you are in a competitive marketplace. You can offer an expert opinion, but it's not your job to withhold products from your customers.

"When you consider the fact that most aromatherapists are self-employed, decisions about everything [are important]," says aromatherapist Beverley von Marksfeld-Fuhrherr.

"While they're doing a treatment, the decision would be to choose the right blend for the individual because you've got about 50 to 70 oils to choose from."
