Insider Info

Cecile Foshee is an instructor at the Art Institute of Phoenix. She says the industry is booming. Students interested in this field will have plenty of job opportunities to choose from once they graduate.

"There are jobs out there because everything uses computer animation now," she says.

But she discourages students from thinking they'll be working in the big leagues early on in their career. "A big studio is not even going to look at you until you have at least two years of experience."

Foshee says wages vary from state to state. "You can start out very low and then end up in the six-digit area, depending on the company you're working for."

Earnings and employment information from the U.S. Department of Labor is not available for this field at this time.
