Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You approach Marianne.

You walk up beside her and tap her lightly on the shoulder so as not to bring too much attention to yourself.

Marianne, who has always been a bit jumpy, screams. You whisper quickly to her, telling her who you are. She takes a second look at you and smiles.

"Wow! I never thought I'd see you again." She hugs you, and then says in a loud voice, "Someone told me you were working for the FBI! Can you imagine? FBI?" She laughs loudly.

You wince. Out the corner of your eye, you see a man look at you suspiciously, and then make a quick call on his cell phone. You have probably blown your cover!

"You absolutely have to be able to choose between things that will jeopardize a case, and what won't," says Lisette Miles, who works in national security. "An officer would always make sure they wouldn't do something to ruin their chances."
